We got tired of that cycle.

We've spent years collecting things built before we were born: mid-century chairs, vintage steel bikes, straight razors older than our grandfathers. Every piece that survived fifty years survived for a reason. Honest materials. Real craftsmanship. Someone who cared.

When our daughter was born, collecting wasn't enough. We founded ShadHaus with one test: if we wouldn't hand it down to her, we won't sell it to you.

From our home in Edmonds, Washington, we partner with skilled woodworkers and small makers to craft and curate pieces built to last lifetimes, not seasons. Solid woods chosen for how they age. Finishes that let you feel the grain. Nothing made in batches of five hundred.

Buying once is better for your home. It's also the most honest form of sustainability there is.
